Or at least that's what we're calling our baby-to-be until we find out what it is in August :) We are 4 months along and Mike, Baxter and I are all really excited!!!! Due date is December 30th woo hoo!

Birdy

My husband is fascinated by birds and thinks they are hilarious which in turn has given me a new appreciation of them :) That is why my studio has a slight bird theme to it and I did this little sketch! I have a lot of post-it notes near my desk that I randomly sketch on without thinking, sometimes I'm happier with the outcome than when I put too much thought into a sketch before I draw. I quote my good friend Nick Lowe "Don't think, Draw!"

New painting sorta...

Here is a yellow painted canvas that has been sitting on my easel for months. And the sketch to go on it has been waiting patiently in my sketchbook, so I finally put the two together :) Look out soon for the finished piece to be on my new Etsy shop! I seem to be going through a yellow phase lately...
